LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Riverfront InterArts would like to acknowledge the land on which we operate - a site of human activity for over 15,000 years. This land is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg people of the Three Fires Confederacy (Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa). Many groups have called this area home including: Peoria, Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Miami, Huron (Wyandot), and Haudenosauonee peoples. This territory is covered by Treaty 35 (1833), Treaty 2 (1790), and Cession 66.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land and to share our space with all peoples from our
past, present, and future.
